The African Union (AU) Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai welcomed His Excellency (HE) Khalifa Almarar, the Minister of State, MOFA of United Arab Emirates; to celebrate the anniversary of the AU as the global event nears its conclusion.
HE Al Marar congratulated the continental mother body for championing and safeguarding the interests of the African people for 2 decades.
The Minister went on to highlight the UAE's efforts to unite the world through Expo 2020 Dubai around pillars of tolerance and coexistence.
“I am confident that the experiences offered at Expo 2020 Dubai will be a source of inspiration for visitors to innovate and learn about other cultures, and the AU pavilion brings the international audience to the heart of the African people, through their lense,”
“The pavilion cements Africa’s promising future whilst rubberstamping their ongoing activities which continue to develop their continent for the African people. Agenda 2063 underscores the great economic and developmental prospects of the African people” concluded Minister of State.
As Expo 2020 Dubai celebrates 20 million visitors, HE Almarar joins the more than 1.5 million visitors who have come to witness what the African continent boasts, from history to the envisioned future for all.
AU Expo Commissioner General Dr. Levi Uche Madueke remarked that the visit by His Excellency was most appreciated; forming part of the multi diverse audience that has come to witness what Africa has to offer the world.
“Throughout our Expo journey, the interest and support from the host government has been immeasurable and this visit is another great indication of the bilateral relationships we as the African continent continue to enjoy with the region,”
“It is against this consistent interest from UAE officials, that we hope our private sector will enjoy a great interest from international partners, especially from the region. The two, coming together to collaborate and drive the world forward as they enjoy the fruits of our continental blueprint, Agenda 2063” concluded Dr. Madueke.
