The African Union (AU) is a continental body consisting of the 55 Member States that make up the African continent's countries.

For six (6) months, alongside 192 other countries, key African stakeholders will share best practices and showcase the continent's vast economic potential through the Expo 2020 Dubai global platform.

The continents' participation at Expo 2020 in Dubai is not the only testament to the long-standing bilateral friendship between the UAE and Africa. It also offers unlimited opportunities for African countries as well as businesses to reach an international audience, setting the perfect platform for potential investments and forge new global partnerships that will reinvigorate economies from the South to the North.

The year 2023 marks 60 years since the formation of the Organization of the African Unity (OAU) on 25 May 1963. The OAU later relaunched into the African Union in 2002. In celebrating 60 years of the continental organization, the African Union invites all African citizenry on the continent and in the diaspora to join in commemorative activities that reflect on the spirit of pan-Africanism that determined the actions of our forebearers and connects the past to the present and our aspirations for the future of all people of African descent and for our motherland Africa  #OurAfricaOurFuture.
